ODOS
A system for DAE to enhance scientific research access, the ‘One DAE One Subscription’ (ODOS) program will have an important effect on all approximately 60 affiliated units of the Department of Atomic Energy. An initiative like this that makes intake procedures more efficient will make the discovery of science easier and will contribute to an atmosphere in the DAE community of collaboration and mutual inspiration. Despite feeling pain for growth, by opening this channel we can promote academic exchanges many times over in our DAE. Collaboration with Major Publishers
New Agreements: DAE has reached special agreements with two large publishers–Wiley India Pvt. Ltd. and Springer Nature Group — greatly increasing the number of journals available in previous agreements.
Details of Agreements
Wiley Agreement: Encompasses 1,353 journals. (Only 166 for 12 units in the past.)
Includes journals published from 1997 onwards. Springer Agreement: gives access to 2,686 titles. Of these, 553 titles are open-access journals. Before, DAE had access for his 14 units to 1,752 journals.
Perpetual Rights and Open Access Publishing
Benefits: Both agreements will guarantee DAE perpetual access to all subscribed journals until 2024 as well as supporting open-access publication. ODOS is part of the broader ‘One Nation One Subscription’ (ONOS) initiative that aims to improve knowledge access across India, benefiting thousands of researchers and students.
ODOS in the Tourism Sector
Alternate Usage: The term ‘One DAE One Subscription’ (ODOS) is also seen in the tourism industry. It is a subscription model that will provide different travel experiences for one annual fee.
