Recent updates indicate a serious security breach at Ramgarh district’s examination center, where alleged computer tampering was reported, raising red flags ahead of the upcoming JEE Main April session. The issue came to light following a complaint lodged by Radha Govind University, which reported suspicious activity involving computer systems designated for the engineering entrance test.

Arrests and Ongoing Investigations

After receiving the complaint, local law enforcement sprung into action, leading to the arrest of three individuals connected to the alleged tampering. Among those apprehended is a computer operator affiliated with the university, indicating an internal breach. Ramgarh’s Deputy Commissioner confirmed that a comprehensive investigation is underway, directed by the Sub-Divisional Officer.

Immediate Actions Taken

The alarming situation emerged on March 29, when lab personnel observed unusual behaviors at the exam center. Upon questioning, the suspects falsely claimed to be technical staff responsible for managing the JEE Main exam. Following their arrest, authorities confiscated multiple items, including 70 computer monitors and several CPUs. As a precaution, exam organizers have been informed, with a call for a review of the center’s suitability for conducting the exams.

Upcoming Exam Details

The JEE Main Session 2 exams for BE/BTech, BArch, and BPlanning are scheduled for April 2, 4, 5, 6, 7, and 8, 2026. The first shift will run from 9 AM to 12 PM, while the second shift is set from 3 PM to 6 PM. Students are urged to stay updated as further developments unfold.
