A new administrative team has been appointed to manage Al-Falah University’s day-to-day operations.

In a move signaling a major shift, a Faridabad-based university under intense scrutiny has seen a complete overhaul of its top leadership. This decisive action comes just one day after a new administrator was appointed to steer the institution through turbulent times.

  • A new Vice Chancellor and other key officials have been appointed to manage the university.
  • The new team is tasked with stabilizing operations amid serious ongoing investigations.
  • These changes aim to safeguard the future of students and staff at the embattled institution.

New Leadership Takes the Helm

IAS officer Amit K Aggarwal, who recently took charge as the university’s administrator, moved swiftly to install a new management team. Ajay Ranga, formerly a Registrar at another prominent state university, has been appointed as the new Vice Chancellor. The new leadership also includes Dr. Rajeev Kumar Singh as the Controller of Examinations and Ravi Kumar Sharma as the Chief Finance and Accounts Officer, both of whom held similar senior positions at the same state university.

Further appointments include Meha Sharma as the new Registrar, along with other officials to handle administrative duties. According to an official order, this new team is expected to manage the “day-to-day affairs of the University… in the larger interest of the university,” bringing a fresh administrative perspective during a critical period.

Navigating a Troubled Path

This leadership overhaul is a direct response to the severe legal, financial, and regulatory challenges facing the institution. The university became embroiled in controversy following its alleged connection to a terror financing probe linked to the November 2025 Red Fort car blast. The investigation, led by national agencies, uncovered a complex network that allegedly involved the university’s resources.

While classes have reportedly resumed on campus, the ongoing investigation has created significant uncertainty. The appointment of a new, experienced administrative team is seen as a crucial step towards restoring stability and ensuring that the academic functions of the university can continue without disruption, providing much-needed reassurance to its student body and faculty.
