The upcoming ‘Bharat Innovates 2026’ event, scheduled to take place in France, will run parallel to the G7 Summit. This strategic move is designed to provide unprecedented international exposure for India’s emerging deep-tech startups, placing them directly in front of world leaders and global investors.

The response to this call for innovation has been overwhelming. According to the minister, nearly 3,000 applications from deep-tech ventures were received in just the last few months. A rigorous three-stage selection process is currently underway to identify the most promising ideas. At the pre-summit event in Mumbai, 138 startups had the opportunity to pitch their groundbreaking concepts, spanning everything from disruptive technologies to new sustainable economic models.
