Asian Surfing Championship 2024

The Asian Surfing Championship 2024 was held in Thulusdhoo, Maldives. In this competition, the Indian team, including Kamali P, Ajish Ali, Shrikant D, and Sanjay Selvamani, won the silver medal. Japan defeated India to win the gold medal. This was the third edition of the championship.

This year, qualifying matches for the 2026 Asian Games were also held during the competition. Based on the points earned by the players, teams, and players were allocated quotas for the Asian Games 2026. Indian men’s and women’s surfing teams have qualified for the 2026 Asian Games. These games will be held in Ichinomiya, Japan and surfing will be included in the Asian Games for the first time in 2026.
