Manoj Kumar v. State of Haryana, 2017 SCC OnLine P&H 327:

This case reaffirmed the broad power granted by Section 48, stating that a police officer’s authority to pursue and arrest an accused person extends beyond the territorial limits of their police station or even state, provided the officer is initially authorised to make an arrest without a warrant.

Pradeep Kumar Singh v. State of Jharkhand, 2011 (3) JCR 386 (Jhr):

The Jharkhand High Court reiterated that Section 48 empowers a police officer to pursue and arrest an offender “anywhere in India” without a warrant, as long as they are lawfully authorised to make such an arrest, thereby highlighting the inter-state applicability of the provision.
