Punishments. —The punishments to which offenders are liable under the provisions of this Sanhita are—
Death;
Imprisonment for life;
Imprisonment, which is of two descriptions, namely:—
Rigorous, that is, with hard labour;
Simple;
Forfeiture of property;
Fine;
Community Service.
