आपराधिक मानव वध (गैर-इरादतन हत्या)! (Culpable Homicide)। IPC का सबसे प्रसिद्ध चैप्टर 16 शुरू। जब कोई इंसान दूसरे इंसान को मार डालता है, तो कानूनी भाषा में उसे 'मानव वध' कहते हैं। यदि मारने वाले को पता था कि उसकी चोट या एक्ट (Act) से सामने वाला मर 'सकता' है (संभावना/Likely to cause death), लेकिन उसका पक्का 'इरादा' (Pre-planned intention) मर्डर करने का नहीं था, तो यह BNS 100 (IPC 299) 'Culpable Homicide not amounting to murder' कहलाता है।
