BNS 168 (IPC 140) एक बहुत ही व्यावहारिक धारा है। इसका मकसद सेना से धोखाधड़ी रोकना है। यदि कोई आम नागरिक धोखे से आर्मी की वर्दी पहन कर या आर्मी का मेडल/बैज लगाकर घूमता है (ताकि उसे सैनिक समझा जाए), तो उसे 3 महीने की जेल हो सकती है।
तुलना
सेना की वर्दी (Military uniform) का अनाधिकृत उपयोग दंडनीय है। प्रावधान पूर्णतः समान हैं।
