246: सिक्के का वजन कम करना (Clipping) (3 वर्ष)। 247: भारतीय सिक्के का वजन कम करना (7 वर्ष)। 248/249: सिक्के का रूप बदलना ताकि वह दूसरा सिक्का लगे (3-7 वर्ष)। 250-254: ऐसे विरूपित सिक्के को चलाना या पास रखना (2-10 वर्ष)।
BNS (नया कानून)
धारा 269
269: कपटपूर्वक सिक्के के वजन (Weight) को कम करना, संयोजन बदलना, या रूप (Appearance) को इस आशय से बदलना कि वह दूसरा सिक्का प्रतीत हो; अथवा ऐसे विरूपित सिक्के को चलाना या कब्जे में रखना।

सिक्कों को घिसना या काटना (Coin Clipping)! पुराने जमाने में लोग सोने/चांदी के सिक्कों के किनारे काट लेते थे। आज भी यदि कोई 10 के सिक्के को इस तरह घिस या पिघला दे कि उसकी धातु निकाल ले, या '5' के सिक्के को पॉलिश करके '10' का बना दे (Altering appearance), तो BNS 269 के तहत उसे 7 से 10 साल तक की जेल होती है।
