जहां एक या एक से अधिक व्यक्तियों के समूह (Group of persons) द्वारा बलात्संग (Rape) किया जाता है, वहां उनमें से प्रत्येक व्यक्ति (Every person) सामूहिक बलात्संग का दोषी होगा… कम से कम 20 वर्ष का कठोर कारावास जो आजीवन कारावास (Natural life) तक हो सकेगा।

गैंगरेप (सामूहिक बलात्कार)! (Gang Rape)। यदि एक से अधिक लोग मिलकर किसी महिला की अस्मिता लूटते हैं, तो वह 'गैंगरेप' कहलाता है। कानून की नज़र में वहाँ खड़ा वह हर व्यक्ति (चाहे उसने खुद यौन-कृत्य किया हो या सिर्फ गेट पर पहरा दिया हो) बराबर का अपराधी (Common Intention) माना जाता है। गैंगरेप के लिए BNS 70(1) (पुरानी IPC 376D) में 'मरते दम तक उम्रकैद (Natural Life Imprisonment)' और कम से कम 20 साल की कठोर जेल की सजा है।
